Lima is the gateway to Peru's treasures.
Called the 'Cuidad de los Reyes ' for the Spanish Conquestadores.
Founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro in the Rimac Valley,
lima sits on land which had been a site of previous
Inca domination. Today Lima is the capital of the Republic
of Peru with a population of 6.3 million inhabitants.
Historically , Lima is the link to the colonial past
from Spain with it being the most important city in
South America concentrating the colonies trade during
the XVII & XVIII centuries. During these colonial
times the city was walled & heavily guarded as from
here, the gold & silver the Conquestadores plundered
was stored prior to it being shipped back to Spain.

San Francisco & magnificent museums that expose
