Days 1 & 2. Mainland Ecuador - San Cristobal - Española Island

Departing from Quito or Guayaquil fly direct to San Cristobal Island & here, on arrival you will be met & introduced to the local naturalist guide, then stow your luggage aboard the vessel.

Española has a colony of marine Iguanas & many different species of Galapagos sea-birds who nest here amongst the rocky craigs. There is also a huge blow-hole which is spectacular in big Pacific Ocean swells. You will have the opportunity to snorkel in & amongst the sea-lions who frollick off the white sand beach.

Days 3 & 4. Cruise to Floreana Island - Santa Cruz Island

Snorkelling in the Devil’s Crown volcanic crater & witness many species of colourful coral formations & tropical fish species. On the island there is a Post Office where mariners used to swop mail in days past. At Puerto Ayora there is an excellent museum & you will have the opportunity to see the lumbering, gigantic Galapagos Land Tortoises at close quarters.

Days 5 & 6. Baltra - North Seymour - Bartolomé

North Seymore is known especially for the nesting colonies of Fregate birds with their distinctive red pouches under their beaks, while on Bartolomé a guided walk across the vast labrynth of volcanic laval flows culminating in a short climb to the crest of Pinnacle Rock for the spectacular vistas that await those who make the effort.

Days 7 & 8. Isla Plazas - San Cristobal Island

The amazing array of thousands upon thousands of seabirds that choose to nest amongst the towering cliffs on Islas Plazas including the swallow-tailed gull, black-backed gull & terns has to be seen to be believed. Then it is a short cruise back to San Cristobal (Baltra) for the flight back to mainland Ecuador.
