City Tour - half day.

A tour of this city of cosmopolitan elegance is a 'must do' requirement, not only to get the visitor oriented, but to paint a canvas rich in colours of the charm, the style & the elegance Buenos Aires offers & displays.

Reminiscent of Paris with a touch of Madrid the wide boulevards, palatial mansions & stately old buildings showcase an ambiance no other South American city has.
This half day tour will take you thorough the beautiful parks & gardens of Palermo & Belgrano, San Telmo & the old city, to the Boca which is characterized by its brightly painted corrigated iron & tin buildings.
You'll pause at Plaza De Los Dos Congresos, the pink painted Presidential Palace in Plaza de Mayo & Plaza San Martin where a defiant statue to the hero of the revolution stands.

Time to view the Recoleta & the many crypts of histories cast of famous personalities in their final resting place, not the least of which is Evita Duarte, eulogized in song & verse & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Broadway stage show spectacular.
Hear about these personalities & how they impacted this vibrant land & helped fashion it's heritage.
Departures : Daily year round with pick up & drop off at your city hotel.

Señor Tango - evening music & tango show with dinner & beverages included.

Señor Tango's is considered 'the' pick of the Tango extravaganzas.
It is a whole evenings entertainment, set in what was originally a large warehouse but has been skillfully re-crafted to incorporate much of its original design, molded into a magnificent theatre styled layout.
It has three levels all with balconies where, once the musical & Tango segment of the evening commences, the audience view this unique spectacular.

Set back from the balconies are individual booths for the dining experience & the meal is served by a small team of waiters designated to each separate dining party. A sumptuous four course dinner with coffee is complemented by Argentine red or white wines & local beer, all which are included with your meal.
Once the lights go dim & the mist rises from around the circular stage, your senses & are whisked into a bygone era of flirtatious seduction & romance that is the essence of Tango.

Your view of the evenings performance is never impaired as the actual stage on which the many Tango dancers perform, rises.
So it matters not if you are at auditorium or balcony seating.
Señor Tango's is a sensational evening that will stay with you long after the final pulsing beat & lilting note are silenced.
Along with Señor Tango's unforgettable rendition of the music & precision, which has become a trademark of Argentine culture, transfers to & from your hotel are included with dinner & beverages.
Departures : Nightly year round

Fiesta de los Gauchos

Argentina's heartland is the Pampa. This vast expanse of flatlands is the agricultural backbone of a nation with a history & tradition for breeding beef cattle of the highest quality & consuming all manner of red meats, with gusto.
The gaucho is to Argentina, what the cowboy was to the old west of the United States or the drover is to Australia. In a rural lifestyle, the gauchos perform the hands on grunt work required to make a cattle Estancia, or ranch, function.
This full day excursion takes us to a working Estancia, located an hour from Buenos Aires city. You will witness & interact with the gauchos & their ladies who are resplendent in traditional costume & garb.

An 'asado' lunch is served for you with a wide variety of meats, beef, pork, & chicken plus baked potatoes, vegetables & salads. Beverages are included, local quality red & white wine, beers, soft drinks & sodas.
The key to 'asado' lies in the preparation of the fire, with no flames but red hot coals & ongoing constant turning of the meats. The slow nature of the cooking ensures the meat remains moist while being cooked through & is not dried out or cooked on the outside only.

The 'asado' is a specialist culinary art perfected & refined by Los Gauchos - Argentina's working men of the Pampa.
After lunch be prepared to witness the cultural side of rural Argentine lifestyle. The Gauchos & their ladies dressed in traditional costume will entertain & enlighten you thorough dance, music & folklore. In addition, you'll be treated to the skills & daring of the gauchos through a display of their renowned horsemanship.

A day excursion to the Estancia is a not to be missed & highly recommended highlight of any Buenos Aires stay.
