Day 1 Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales,
Chile
You will be met on arrival at Punta Arenas & transfer
provided by coach to Puerto Natalas. Overnight accommodation
at the Hotel Eberhard, home for two nights.
Day 2 Torres del Paine National
Park day excursion
( B ) After breakfast, you will depart for a day full
of visual delight & adventure into the dramatic Torres
del Paine National Park. This has been declared a World
Biosphere Reserve. The immenseness of the towering mountains
of the Andes, deep azure lakes, pristine rivers &
cascading water falls. This is an unforgettable day
& one that the camera hardly does justice to.
Day 3 Puerto Natales - El Calafate
(BD) After breakfast, depart by coach for the International
border & El Calafate, Argentina.
This township is the gateway to the stunning Los Glaciares
National Park & the Puerto Moreno & Upsala Glaciers.
You will have a choice of home for the next two nights,
between an El Calafate Hotel or an Estancia (a working
'ranch') providing very comfortable, cozy home-styled
accommodation & great cuisine.
Day 4 Puerto Moreno Glacier day

(BD) Today you will travel to see the mighty Puerto
Moreno Glacier. With a terminal face of some 5 kms wide
& the constant pressures being exerted by the build
up of ice in the valley behind, large chunks of the
glacier are commonly falling off to create huge icebergs
in the lake. The glacier is renown for its rapid rate
of forward movement. You may opt to take the optional
boat trip which will get up close to the terminal face
on Lago Argentino & if you do, take plenty of film
for your camera.
Day 5 El Calafate - departure
(B) After breakfast, you will be transferred to the
El Calafate airport for your onward flight. For those
wishing to return to Punta Arenas, Chile, this is possible
by coach & can be requested at time of your making
your reservations.
