Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Located on Lemala Hill on the uppermost Eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Sopa Lodge offers breathtaking views of the vast green crater floor far below.

It has 92 Ivory class suites, each with central heating, private lounge & mini-bar, bedroom with two queen sized beds & room for a third rollaway bed as or if required. There is an en-suite bathroom equipped with hair dryer & a private solarium giving stunning views of the western horizon.

 

Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

Built into the rim of the crater, this plant & ivy-covered native stone that the lodge is constructed of, blends in perfectly to its surroundings. Close by lies the Olduvai Gorge – considered the ‘cradle of mankind’. The total region here is noted not only for the extraordinary variety of big game & bird species, but additionally for the local Maasai tribes people who live in harmony with nature, tending to cattle & goats in the midst of predators aplenty. Most guest rooms have private terraces with views of the crater floor. 75 Ivory class suites are spacious & have central heating for winter as the lodge is located at 6000 feet above sea level & the climate is notably cooler than in the crater floor.

 

Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Located looking out over the seemingly endless Serengeti Plains from its hillside perch on the Nyarboro Hills, the year round water & acacia woodland area combine to create a great diversity of wildlife in the immediate vicinity of Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

The lodge offers 72 Ivory class suites, each with private lounge & mini-bar, the master bedroom having two queen sized beds & room for a rollaway as or if required & an en-suite bathroom equipped with hairdryer. Outside each suite , a private verandah provides for a place to relax & take in the sweeping views over the plains.

 

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is set high up on a hill providing excellent sweeping vistas of the grasslands & wilderness landscape. Big game feed in view of the lodge as the Serengeti Plains are home to a huge variety of plains grazers, predators & birds.

The lodge design is stunningly simple – inspired by the traditional African rondavel, each of the rooms are decorated with rich local furnishings, handicrafts & art. There are 66 Ivory class rooms in all, each with a self contained bathroom , toilet & shower as well as a private balcony overlooking the plains. The overall impression of the combination of stone & traditional design is distinctly ‘ African’.

 

Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Opened in 1995 & completing the Sopa Lodges in Tanzania, the Tarangire Sopa Lodge is built in a woodland valley ‘ low style’ . It is located in a region that is renown for the large herds of elephant & prolific wildlife. Also Baobab trees are a resplendent feature of the flora of this particular part of the country, many of them being thousands of years in the making & still growing strong. The lodge offers 75 Ivory class ‘wall to wall’ carpeted suites, each with private lounge, mini-bar, two queen sized beds, an en-suite bathroom with hair dryer & a private verandah.

 

Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
